ABOUT THE SHOW:

Weaving wit, romance and comedy, Much Ado About Nothing is a whirlwind race to the finish line of “happily ever after.”  Everyone can see that confirmed bachelor Benedick and headstrong Beatrice are meant for each other—except for Benedick and Beatrice themselves.  Meanwhile young Claudio is swooning for Hero, the conniving Don John is cooking up trouble, and the bumbling night watch folk are hot on the trail of…theie not sure what! Love may conquer all, but not without a few battles along the way, and the twists and turns have never been so much fun to watch!

Actor Invitation:
Come be a part of this hilarious, silly and challenging production! This project is an opportunity for actors of all experience levels to grow their acting skills in a fun and intense rehearsal process. This process will focus heavily on building a strong ensemble, tackling Shakespeare’s text, annunciation, projection and physical storytelling. Please be aware that while most of the play is a rom-com full of super silly people, there are a few moments of yelling and shaming young women for (supposedly) being flirty humans.

Technician Invitation:
Come help us build a play!  We are looking for folks to be on the technical teams below.  Each team is led by one of our student designers!

Stage Management - Work with Coral Wittenburg to help lead rehearsals, read for missing actors, run lines, take blocking and line notes throughout April & May.

Dramaturgy - Work with our directors throughout April & May  to research and educate our company and audience about the issues explored in this play.

Run Crew - Work backstage during dress rehearsals and shows to move the set, help actors get into mics, and complete fast costume changes. This team joins rehearsals on May 12 - 22, and shows May 23, 24, 25 & 26.

Lighting - Work with Sage McCarthy to hang, focus, and program lighting equipment in May.

Light Op -  Operate the light board for technical rehearsals May 16, 17, 19-22 and shows May 23, 24, 25 & 26.

Sound - Work with Mads Waggoner & Steven Haffley to find, create, record sounds throughout April & May (exact timed TBD) and help set up sound equipment in May.
